The Cluster's "Research Project" funding line is at the heart of the Cluster's activities. Excellent and innovative research proposals are identified through a competitive application process. Relevance to the Cluster’s research agenda, interdisciplinary collaboration, the development of ambitious high-risk, high-reward project ideas, and adherence to international quality standards are the key criteria for selecting Cluster projects. Teams of collaborating researchers can then work on their research programs for up to four years.
